Colossians 1:13&14,
Phillipians 2:6-11
The
common maid amidst her life, hears a
haunting in her heart.
She knows the haunting from her youth, a yearning that beats strong
For beauty and adventure, for intimate repose.
She wonders why this longing, has been placed within in her soul.
She
tries to snuff this haunting fire with
life’s busyness.
To lose herself in safer tales, she denies her thirstiness.
And even though her life is full, she feels the emptiness
“Oh why does my heart ache so? What is this restlessness?”
Come to Me.....Come to Me....Come to Me............a voice calls Come
to Me
Who is
this king who’s left his throne, For
a quest none can fathom
He’s clothed himself in beggar’s clothes, to rescue the poor maiden.
He alone sees beauty, others cannot see.
Embarking on a deadly pursuit, unmatched in history.
Come to Me.....Come to Me....Come to Me..........His voice calls Come
to Me
He meets her in her common life, this simple common girl
The valiant king who’s left it all, to reach her into her world
To have her chose Him freely, the one thing he desires
He will not make her take His hand , this freedom He requires
Come to
Me.....Come to Me....Come to
Me..........His voice calls Come to Me
Will she see her need of rescue, this one He calls beloved
Will she let him fill her need for adventure and beauty
We do not know the ending yet, the story still unfolds
The ending lies with you and me, this story still untold.
Come to Me.....Come to Me....Come to Me............the King calls Come
to Me
