Sometimes
I seem to do the dumbest of
things
I know the role of a fool and the embarrassment it brings
But it forces me off my homemade pedestal
When I’m on ground level that’s when I can see,
The only thing that can lift me up is you in me so
I’ll be a fool for You any day
If it brings me back to who I am, to the dust and clay from which I was
made.
And I will gladly join the ranks of the lowly and despised
So the only one in whom I can boast is in Jesus Christ.

Your ways are so much higher than mine
And your wisdom far exceeds my feeble mind
And the more I learn the more I learn how much I don’t know.
Cause your foolishness is wiser than any man’s wisdom
And you chose the foolish to shame the wise.....so
Free me from concern of how others see me.
So I can be the fool that you’ve created me to be.
And how foolish for a God to die for ones so unworthy....like me.
So I‘m in good company...and that’s why
