I know a family. Lost their child in a tragedy.
Oh the pain of such a loss.
A burden so heavy they labor in taking each new breath.
I listened to the news today. Famines and violence, so many suffering
There’s a longing for a different world. A longing for Your return.
That’s when we cry, When....When....When will you come back
When....When.....Come Lord Jesus. Save us from ourselves.
Take our strife and free us from the weight of this life.
Oh, I love my family. And the beauty that this life holds.
A child’s laughter, chasin’ fireflies, the winter snow, and a hand to
hold.
Yet in this world sometimes I feel. I don’t fully belong.
There’s a hunger to fully know. And a thirst, to be fully known.
That’s when I cry, When....When....When will you come back
When....When.....Come Lord Jesus. Save us from ourselves.
Take our strife and free us from the weight of this life.
One day, we will meet you in the air. Then we will cast off every care.
Until then, we cry, we cry.
When....When....When will you come back
When....When.....Oh....Come Lord Jesus, come into our lives, even now
Save us from ourselves. Take
our strife and free us from the weight of this life.
